The illness started last Saturday and I'm still not fully recovered. Sore throat, achey body, stuffed up nose, painfully dizzying headaches. Just a cold/flu thing, but a particularly violent one. It kept me in bed for nearly a week. The whole time I never felt like I was sick alone in Africa and get me out of here though.
Teachers checked up on me and made sure I didn't feel like I needed to come back to class until I was feeling totally ready. Students kept wishing me well, and the ones who live at school with me fetched water for me, took care of my garden, washed my clothes, brought me food, bought me things at the shop in the village. My principal even brought me some medicine the other day. What a fantastically nice group of people. If you must get a cold, come to Ts'oeneng to wait it out.
